Logistics
Peakward Freight Platform
A logistics platform with vessel-tracking maps, FOB market monitors, and Kanban lead boards. HQ sees the whole network; branches see only what they need.

Dashboard
How it came together
The setup
A trading and freight company was running HQ, branches, procurement, HR, and finance from a patchwork of spreadsheets and chat threads.
The challenge
Build a single dashboard where HQ sees the whole network and every branch sees only its slice, without forking the codebase.
Scale
Multi-branch operation across freight forwarding, trading, procurement, HR, and finance.
The hard parts
Non-negotiables
- Vessel positions must update without page reloads
- Branch data isolation enforced at the data layer
- PDF exports for procurement and finance
Trade-offs we made
- Rendered the FOB market as static cards rather than live tickers. The market does not move that fast and the polling cost was real.
- Skipped a native mobile build. Field staff use the responsive web app on phones.
Calls I made
Leaflet over a paid map SDK
OpenStreetMap tiles are free, fast, and good enough. Saved a recurring license cost on something users rarely zoom into.
Kanban for leads, table for everything else
Sales pipeline lives on a board. Finance lives in tables. Picked the right shape per workflow instead of forcing one paradigm.
